SAS Constitution
SAS CONSTITUTION The SAS Constitution was the name for a series of vessels that served the Solar Alliance Navy during most of its existence. Ships bearing the name Constitution frequently developed near-legendary reputations for their distinguished and lengthy service. Many of the ships named Constitution remained in service for periods far longer than most other ships of their respective classes. The Constitution also participated in many of the most pivotal battles of the Solar Alliance’s history, frequently serving as the flagship of one of the Navy fleets. The first SAS Constitution began its construction in 2195. The name was chosen [...]
This Day in History: Febras
1 Febras: Dawn's Day. A holiday mostly in Doramor, the day is marked with festivals that begin in the morning and continue into evening. Public galleries of ice sculptures are common, if the weather permits. The main event occurs in the morning, when the behavior of the native scurridai is observed, and their reactions to the weather are alleged to be an indicator of how much longer Winter will be. 2 Febras, AF 872: Birth of King Tinamer VII of Doramor. He would rule for almost 50 years before the strain of leading his nation during the Unity Wars would [...]
Politics – Doramor
Doramor      The Diarchy of Doramor has perhaps the most unusual origin of all the nations of Terranis. In the late second century, northern Orius was a largely lawless land, ruled by numerous barbarian tribes and demon lords squabbling for power. The survivors of the destroyed duchy of Velsan had been fighting a losing guerrilla war for nearly twenty years to reclaim their lands, but the foes arrayed against them seemed to be endless. Into this desperate battle arrived Lucilia Doramor, a traveler from Saniel across the sea. Her origins seemed almost too fantastical to believe: she was the adopted [...]
Ghosts of the Galaxy #2
Continuing to explore some of the mysteries of the universe, here's two more entries about some of the more unusual things discovered in space...   The Van Graff Rift Initially discovered by the SAS Constitution in 3514, the Rift was named for the science officer on duty that first noticed the subtle abnormalities in space near the vessel. From the outside, the rift appears to be a relatively normal patch of space in the void between solar systems, baring some unusual micro-fluctuations in gravity and radiation. Entering the rift, however, is nearly akin to stepping into another universe. The outermost [...]
Two Free Games!
Two earlier projects developed by Templar Games for past events are now available as free downloads from here! Unto the Breach: The Tournament was the first completed project, serving as a very early demonstration of our capabilities, and is a stand-alone side story featuring Mileena, one of Alex's best friends. Murder in the Rue Marche was a short adventure/mystery game created for the 2014 Independent Game Developer Contest, meant to be completed in under an hour. However, to add replayability, the culprit, and the evidence needed to convict them, changes each time a new game is started. Give them a [...]
This Day in History: Janras
This day in history for the month of Janras... 1 Janras, 1 AF: This marks the beginning of the After Fall calendar, established by King Renoir du Saniel I after the Fall. Although the final battle was concluded several months prior, King Renoir elected to start the AF calendar at the start of the next local New Year, to minimize confusion. This also marked the end of the Sol Standard calendar which had been used by the Solar Alliance up until that point. 2 Janras, AF 47: Inspired by references in pre-Fall texts, Jorgen Sarlson of Saernis City develops the [...]

Ghosts of the Galaxy #1
Though prior to the Judgment War, there were no confirmed encounters with sentient alien life, possible indicators of previously-existing sentient races have been found across known space. Numerous indigenous plant and animal races have been found on countless worlds, but none seemed to possess any truly sentient life. Below are listed some of the more well-known discoveries made over the history of the Solar Alliance that have been popularized as “proof” of previously-existing alien races.   The Oblivion Gulf This patch of space in the Perseus Arm was first discovered by remote observatories in 2816, and later formally explored in [...]
Dev Log #3
The third dev log video takes a look at two of the big C's of the game: crafting and combat! As with the other dev logs, all details are subject to change. Case in point, Unto the Breach is transitioning to a CTB type battle system from Episode Zero's ATB type system.
Geography – Orius
Orius Orius is the larger of the two continents. Roughly crescent shaped, it stretches over a thousand miles from the Bloodlands to northern Doramor. As it nearly reaches both poles, it features a diverse range of climates (Diverse for Terranis, anyway). Southern Korneth and northern Doramor tend to have stronger winters and milder summers, while Saernis, almost straddling the equator, remains fairly pleasant for most of the year. The eastern continent is home to three of the Five Powers: Korneth, Saernis, and Doramor. While Korneth and Doramor each have a primary port city through which goods flow across the Inner [...]
